Six years on my own authority taught me what no course will.

I started Dowell5 the way most carriers do — with one truck, a fresh MC number, and a pile of questions no one would answer straight. I learned freight, factoring, insurance underwriting, and the politics of dispatch the hard way: by running my own loads, every week, for six straight years.

After that, I spent two years inside the 3rd largest freight brokerage in the world. That seat gave me a view most drivers never get — how rates are really set, what brokers value in a carrier, and how the logistics machine works end-to-end. I left with a global network and insider knowledge I now use to protect the carriers I advise.

Today I consult quietly for a small roster of owner-operators and small fleets who want a real operator in their corner — not a guru, not a recruiter, not someone selling a course. Just clear answers, honest numbers, and the relationships I've spent years building.
